How does Inpulsd make money if it’s free?
We use a simple two-tier processing model. Tier 1: 5.9% + $0.30/txn for your first ~$5,000 processed through Inpulsd. Tier 2: 4% flat forever after — no per-transaction fee, just a simple percentage. We don’t charge monthly subscriptions because your software cost shouldn’t eat into your income before you’ve taught a single class.
Why is the processing fee higher than Stripe’s standard?
The 5.9% + $0.30 rate is only for your first ~$5,000 processed through Inpulsd. That initial tier funds the platform: AI class builder, live streaming, music integration, hosting, support, and development. After $5K total volume, your rate drops to 4% flat forever — no per-transaction fee. That 4% covers everything: Stripe fees plus the Inpulsd platform. At $5K/month on the long-term rate that’s just $200/month total. Other platforms charge $259–$699/month PLUS processing fees.
What are the exact payment processing fees?

Is there a contract or commitment?
No contracts, ever. Sign up, start teaching, and leave whenever you want. We believe if you have to lock someone in, your product isn’t good enough.
Can I switch from Mindbody / Vagaro / WellnessLiving?
Yes. Export your client list as a CSV from your current platform, then import it into Inpulsd. Most instructors complete the switch in one afternoon. You can also run both platforms simultaneously during transition—zero risk, zero downtime.
What payment methods do my members use?
Your members can pay with all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, and Google Pay through Stripe. Enterprise customers can also arrange custom payment methods.
Do you support international instructors?
Yes. Stripe supports payouts to bank accounts in 46+ countries in local currency. If you’re teaching from Bali, London, or Sydney, you get paid directly to your local bank. Stripe handles all currency conversion automatically.
Will the pricing stay free forever?
Our $0/month model is core to our mission. After your first ~$5,000 processed through Inpulsd, your rate drops to 4% flat forever — that rate is locked in. While we may introduce optional premium add-ons in the future, the core platform will always be free and the 4% flat rate is permanent. Early adopters during our launch period will always keep their current tier thresholds.
